Born in Ankara in 1993, Özge Tan graduated top of her class from Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, where she began her undergraduate studies in 2012 and completed them in 2016. She finished her MA in Ceramics at Anadolu University’s Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2019 and has been pursuing a Proficiency in Art (practice‑based doctoral) degree at the same institution since 2019. The artist has held two solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and contemporary art fairs in Turkey and abroad. Her works are included in private and public collections.
Her awards include the İlhan Karaca Special Prize at the 10th International Muammer Çakı Ceramic Competition (2017); First Prize in the Ceramics category at the İstiklal Yolu Visual Arts Competition (2017); an Achievement Award in the Artistic category at the 9th International Gizemfrit Ceramic Competition (2018); and the Eskişehir Art Awards 2021 – Ceramics Award.
In 2023, she was accepted as an artist‑in‑residence at Guldagergaard — International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark, where she conducted research and produced works over a three‑month period. Tan works as a Research Assistant in the Department of Ceramics at Anadolu University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Based in Eskişehir, she continues to create ceramic/porcelain sculptures, wall panels, and jewelry, inviting viewers into a fairy‑tale world through a surreal and illustrative approach.
