Mustafa Kula

 

After graduating from Eskişehir Anatolian Fine Arts High School in 2004, she completed her studies in the Painting Department of Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts. Since her student years, the artist has continued to work in her own studio.

Her works have been exhibited in significant international exhibitions such as "Istanbul Breeze" at Proje 4L Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art, "Contemporary Art from Turkey and Korea" in Korea, "Limits and Orbits" at Siemens Sanat, "Talk to Me" at the Goethe-Institut Ankara, and the Tunis Biennial in 2006.

In 2008, Kula opened her first solo exhibition at Helikon Art Gallery and participated in the painting symposium "SUMMART" in Moldova, the "Made in Turkey" exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany, and "The Beginning of Work: Different Approaches to Drawing" at Sabancı University’s Kasa Gallery.

Between 2009 and 2011, she took part in exhibitions such as "Dört Dörtlük," "New Year’s Group Show," "Young Figure,"and "Meeting Point Akademililer" at Akademililer Art Gallery in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. She was featured in the project rooms at Proje 4L Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art with her mural projects. She also participated in the "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" exhibition at the Goethe-Institut Ankara and opened her second solo exhibition in 2012.

In March 2013, she took part in the 14th METU Art Festival and the "The Way We Were / Olduğumuz Gibi" exhibition at Galeri Zilberman.

In 2014, she held her third solo exhibition at Peker Art and participated in the "BorderBody-Mixing Futures" exhibition in Bari, Italy. The same year, she also joined the exhibition "I Am Better Than Tomorrow" curated by Ferhat Özgür at Hayaka Art.
